Harry Potter Birthday Bash

Our family loves Harry Potter, so I am so excited to share this fun Harry Potter birthday party that Robyn from Craft With Me did for her 4-year old son. She had a lot of fun decorations and activities for the party and I loved all the details.

Party Favorites {Details to Look For}

– The awesome troll that Robyn drew for playing “hit the troll with the club” (pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey)

– Platform 9 3/4: A brick wall that kids had to enter through to get to the party

– Ollivander’s wands: Given out to each of the guests

– The sorting hat: Each child got sorted by the homemade sorting hat in to either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw

-Party favors: Filled with Harry Potter inspired items such as Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, Disappearing Ink, and Chocolate Frogs

-Fun Hogwarts Class Stations: Potions class and Quidditch

Food Served:

– Butterbeer Floats: (Vanilla ice cream, butterscotch syrup, cream soda)

– Snitch Cake Pops

– Bernie Botts Every Flavor Beans

Activity: Potions Class

The night before the party Robyn put a drop of food coloring on a spoon, then when it dried scooped up a spoonful of baking powder. She placed the baking powder spoons in front of cups of water and vinegar (1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2-1 cup water). Each child stirred the spoon with the clear water and were surprised to find all different colored potions.
