If you are looking for a fun party idea for the summer try a luau party! There are many different fun options for a luau party. Here are some things that my sister did for our family get-together.
We were asked to arrive in luau attire. My sister provided leis for everyone to wear. My husband Jim and I honeymooned in Hawaii, so I brought a few things from Hawaii down with us.
My sister made pulled pork sandwiches in a crockpot that we ate with some yummy rolls. We also had fruit kabobs and some vegetables to eat with it. She decorated the table with leis and flowers, and then decorated the yard with tiki torches that she got from WalMart I believe.
At our table we all got to eat off cute luau/tiki plates, and the kids loved the cute umbrella sticks we had in our drinking cups.
She also had a kiddie pool filled up with water for the kids to play in. They all enjoyed that.
This was a family dinner party, but this could easily be converted to a celebratory-type of party or birthday party. It was perfect for the summer, and there are a lot of great options.
